Electromagnetic holding magnets series 01 310 of Kendrion

Holding magnets of the Industrial Line from Kendrion include all electromagnetic holding systems in round, flat and rod-shaped designs.

These permanent electromagnetic holding rods are electrically switchable holding systems. They consist of a permanent magnet and a DC-excited coil (vacuum cast), which serves to neutralize the permanent magnetic field at the pole surface. The open magnetic circuit allows holding of ferromagnetic workpieces.

The electrical connection is at two threaded studs, which are easily accessible inside the device and accessible via a PG cable gland.

This gland can be screwed in either sideways or from below. The coil is vacuum cast, the magnet housing zinc plated and the holding surface ground. For mounting, threaded holes are provided on the underside of the device.

Application
These systems are preferably used where long holding times without energy consumption exist and a load or workpiece must be reliably and safely held in case of power failure.
In case of lateral force, only the sliding force Fv of approx. 1/4 FH can be assumed.

Safety note
The attracting or repelling permanent magnetic forces can cause hazards due to sudden impact even at larger distances by pinching skin. Therefore, protective gloves and safety goggles must be used.
