Electromagnetic holding magnets series 01 320 / PEM of Kendrion
Holding magnets of the Industrial Line from Kendrion include all electromagnetic holding systems in round, flat and rod-shaped designs.
These permanent electromagnetic holding magnets are electrically switchable holding systems. They consist of a permanent magnet and a DC-excited coil, which serves to neutralize the permanent magnetic field at the pole surfaces.
The open magnetic circuit allows holding of ferromagnetic workpieces. As connection, free leads or, starting from 01 32010B, cables are provided. The coil is vacuum cast, the magnet housing zinc plated and the holding surface ground. The attachment is done via a central fastening thread on the underside. For PEM types, instead of the central fastening thread, a threaded bolt is used. Dimensions of the threaded holes or bolts can be found in the technical data in the “Downloads”.
The maximum possible holding forces develop at full and direct contact of the armature plate. The holding forces range from 8 – 3,500 N
All products are manufactured and tested according to DIN VDE 0580.
Application
These systems are used where a load, workpiece or machine part must be reliably and securely held in the power-free state.
In case of lateral force, only the sliding force Fv of approx. 1/4 FH can be assumed.
