Arc vibrators OAB of the Oscillating Line of Kendrion
The magnetic body of the arc vibrator from Kendrion consists of two ring shells which enclose the excitation winding. It is firmly connected to the device base. The armature consists of two axially opposite-polarized PE ring magnets. These are housed in pole discs and attached by leaf springs on the two opposite sides of the device base.
Due to the two permanent magnets, the system is pre-magnetized. At rest, the armature is located between two ring poles of the magnetic body. When an alternating voltage is applied to the excitation winding, the unlike poles of armature and magnetic body attract each other. The frequency of the arched armature movement corresponds to the frequency of the applied alternating voltage.
The arc vibrator can be used as an oscillating drive and with an additional weight on the armature shaft as a shaker. The built-in permanent magnets produce a braking effect when switched off, which prevents overrunning^.
