Linear vibrator OLV of the Oscillating Line of Kendrion

The magnetic body of the linear vibrator consists of a round steel housing. Inside the magnetic body are the excitation winding and the armature, which is guided concentrically via a non-magnetic shaft and held in the middle position by two springs. The system is pre-magnetized by a permanent magnet with pole pieces located between the two coils of the excitation winding and is held in a stable and neutral starting position.

When an alternating voltage is applied to the excitation winding, the force effect of the electromagnetic alternating field overlays the force effect of the permanent magnet.

The frequency of the resulting force on the armature corresponds to the frequency of the applied alternating voltage, which moves the armature with the shaft linearly in the same rhythm. The linear vibrator can be used as an oscillating drive and, with an additional weight on the armature shaft, as a shaker.
