Kuhnke pneumatic short-time valve (3/2-way NC, connection plate)
Pneumatic timers are used for precise time control of pneumatic pressure signals in pneumatic circuits or systems. The pressure-independent time delay function starts when pressure is applied to the control port. After the preset time expires, an internal 3/2-way seat valve switches. The signal remains until the control air port is vented for at least 300 ms. During this, the timer resets to the preset value. Depending on the version, the time setting is possible between 0.5 and 180 s. The design requires that the control pressure level does not drop below the working pressure level. Kuhnke pneumatic timers do not fall under ATEX directives according to ignition hazard assessment per EN 13463-1 and can thus be used in explosion-hazardous areas of IIG/IID.
