Kuhnke pneumatic timer valve (5/2-way, panel mounting)
Pneumatic timers are used for precise time control of pneumatic pressure signals in pneumatic circuits or systems. The pressure-independent time delay function starts when pressure is applied to the control port and enables large time ranges via a pressure- and centrifugal force-controlled rotor system with reduction. After the preset time expires, a 5/2-way spool valve switches. The signal remains until the control air port is vented for at least 200 ms. During this, the timer resets to the preset value. Time setting is possible between 0.3 sec. and 100 h depending on version. Kuhnke pneumatic timers do not fall under ATEX directives according to ignition hazard assessment per EN 13463-1 and can thus be used in explosion-hazardous areas of IIG/IID.
