Valve assemblies
Efficient assemblies for pressure and vacuum applications
Customer-specific valve blocks and assemblies also for complex tasks
To solve both simple and extensive tasks, Kendrion develops and manufactures efficient and perfectly customer-adapted valve assemblies for pressure and vacuum applications. Depending on the complexity and required functionality of an assembly, Kendrion can rely on classic manifold plate-, AirBoard®- or FluidBoard® technology.
With the Kuhnke AirBoard®, a media-flowed circuit board, KENDRION additionally offers a unique innovative and flexible solution for the interplay of electronics and pneumatics or fluid technology.
A manifold plate with recessed fluid channels, capped by two nearly freely configurable circuit boards, guides the medium from the assembly inputs to the outputs. Solenoid valves are electrically and pneumatically connected with the circuit board and switch or block the medium on site. Complex wiring or tubing is eliminated.
Along the way, specific pressures can be set using integrated pressure regulators, flows regulated with proportional valves, or pressure and flow measured with SMD sensors. The AirBoard® technology allows (almost) every idea space.
The FluidBoard® builds on the same advantages and thus presents another flexible and highly integrable manifold plate system that can be used cost-effectively as a manifold plate either for pure interconnection of multiple valves and connections or also for linking valve technology and electronics.
The FluidBoard® consists of at least two plastic plates connected by laser welding technology. Similar to the Kuhnke AirBoard®, any channel geometries can be depicted.
Unlike the AirBoard®, the FluidBoard® offers higher flexibility regarding control or dosing of delicate or aggressive media because a wide variety of plastics can be selected depending on the chemical resistance requirements. At the same time, significantly higher pressures are achievable with FluidBoard® due to the laser-welded connection technology.
In application areas such as point-of-care diagnostics or laboratory analytics, mechanical tasks such as interlocks on minimal installation space must frequently be implemented besides controlling various media. The result is software-controlled mechatronic multi-actuators created with AirBoard® or FluidBoard®, which can uncover savings potential in various applications.
