DC door-holding magnets of HAHN CQLINE are mainly used as holding devices for fire protection closures (fire protection swing doors, roller gates, fire dampers with self-closing devices). They hold these open. Controlled by a fire or smoke alarm control panel, they release the closures by interrupting the power supply in case of fire danger. The door or closure is then automatically closed by a door closer. This is intended to prevent the spread of fire and smoke throughout the building.

The holding magnet is mounted on the wall, floor or ceiling behind the door. Due to the existing variety of types, almost every requirement profile can be covered. The counterpart is an armature plate mounted on the door. Standard versions, flexible angle adjustments as well as spring-damped versions (for heavy doors) are available.

Besides classical application, door-holding magnets are also used as holding devices for standard, house or commercial doors, basically everywhere a door needs to be reliably held open.

DC door-holding magnets, series HAHN CQSAFE

The types of this series are generally vacuum cast with resin and have protection class IP65 on the base device. The magnets are monitored according to VdS number and are subject to sampling twice a year. Furthermore, the sizes are checked according to EN14637 and EN1155 according to European requirements. The individual production steps are subject to controlled and quality-oriented manufacturing process.

All versions are equipped with reverse polarity protection, i.e., two built-in diodes (freewheeling and arc suppression diode).

This version is suitable for wall mounting. The use of PA6 with 30% glass fiber content ensures high stability. An interrupter button is integrated. The electrical connection is optionally from the rear or through robust cable glands allowing retrofitting.
