9180 – Kevlar® Fiber Scissors
Developed and manufactured specifically for cutting Kevlar® fiber from optical cables. The uniquely designed serrated edge prevents fibers from slipping out of the front of the scissors during cutting. The cutting edges are heat treated to a hardness of 58-60 RC. A superior tool that enables both precise cutting and exceptional service life. Padded Xuro-Rubber handles and built-in return spring provide comfort and convenience.
Versions:
9180: version with serrated edge
9180NS: like 9180 but without serrated cutting edge, designed for cut applications where serrations are unnecessary or undesirable
Suitable for cutting soft sheet metals up to 0.031″ (0.8 mm)
