PIDG FASTON Connectors & Splices

Product features

Product facts
Pre-insulated terminal for consistent reliability in the most demanding circuits.
Consists of an uncoated or tinned brass body or tinned phosphor bronze body with a specially designed copper sleeve and an insulating sleeve pulled over the terminal housing.
The design of the tool inserts and the contact construction allow a uniform insulation thickness under crimp pressure, with this pressure evenly transmitted to the center of the crimp area.

The AMP concept for combined tools/terminals

In AMP compression crimping, crimps are made for a specific cable size and contact that are uniform in appearance and performance.
Contact and crimp tool are designed as uniformly matched devices.
Crimp tools are precision manufactured from finest carbide alloys.
Crimp pressure is controlled by a positive stop on the hand tool or appropriate preset in the crimp jaws of AMP crimp machines.

The crimp

If properly executed, the crimp pressure neither over- nor under-stresses the dies manufactured in the contact sleeves, so that the exact crimp height is achieved.
The result is a contamination-free finish.
Resistant to shocks and critical environments.
The tensile strength corresponds to that of the wire itself.
